

Checkers - review tapes before they are sent to students to ensure that RFB&D's high quality standards are met.Duplicators - copy tapes onto cassettes and keep records of each book recorded.Bookmarkers - create a "pencil path" through books to be recorded, making notes throughout the text to guide readers through the sequence of charts, illustrations and footnotes.Directors - guide the reader through the recording session by operating recording equipment and making corrections to the recorded material when needed.Readers - narrate the text of a book and describe any visual elements such as charts, graphs, pictures, maps, or mathematical equations.RFB&D needs volunteers for functions vital to the success of the organization such as fundraising, public relations and recruitment. With RFB&D expecting to serve over 100,000 students with print disabilities in the coming year, we need your help. Our volunteer workforce is a unique and precious resource-the cornerstone of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic. Our corps of volunteers has been an integral part of the organization's success for over 50 years.
